September 2016: The Business Case for Corporate Social Responsibility

We all want our CSR programs to have a strong social impact — on our employees, on our communities, and on critical social issues. We also want to help our businesses do well by doing good through these CSR programs.
In September 2016, CVNY convened a conversation about creating high-impact shared value and how to maximize the business benefits of CSR programs. Jessica Clancy, VP, Corporate Social Responsibility at NBC Universal and Eric DiMiceli, Associate Director, National Basketball Association, discussed their CSR programs and how to:
  • Enhance business reputation and brand through strategic CSR and cause marketing
  • Build both internal and external CSR partnerships to drive shared success
  • Communicate about programs and capture attention in a crowded marketplace
  • Encourage employees to participate, communicate, and enhance shared value programs
