February 2018: Professional Development Day Meeting

The February CVNY meeting focused on Professional Development day and took place on February 21st at S&P Global. The event provided CVNY members with resources needed to succeed, both personally and professionally.

The day featured three main sessions, detailed below:

• Hone in on negotiation skills with expert Alexandra Dickinson, CEO of Ask for It and frequent Forbes contributor
• Learn what it takes to build a successful team with Adam Bryant, Managing Director of Merryck & Co., a leadership development and executive mentoring firm, and former journalist, well-known for his New York Times‘s Corner Office column.
• Speak candidly with other corporate responsibility and sustainability professionals about what it takes to be successful in the field. Hear from a panel of experienced practitioners including Lee Ballin, Head of Sustainable Business Programs, Bloomberg L.P; Kelly W. Fisher, Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Sustainability, HSBC US; and Melanie LeGrande, Vice President of Social Responsibility, Major League Baseball (MLB).
